Through donations, the Putt for Presents team strives to enhance the lives of underprivileged youth in local homeless shelters.
Through the three year's tournament efforts, the Putt for Presents team has raised over $20,000. With the donations received, the team is sponsoring the Transitions homeless shelter in Devens, MA. Every month the Putt for Presents team visits the shelter and throws a birthday party for the children that have birthdays in that month. In addition, the team purchases gifts for the birthday children and brings cake, activities, and goodie bags for all children in the shelter that attend the party.
More important than the gifts, the children at the shelter are building strong relationships with the Putt for Presents team. The team, acting as role models for the children, strives to enhance the lives of these children beyond gifts on their birthdays. With additional proceeds from the tournaments, the team seeks alternative avenues to provide the children with the opportunities to lead healthy, productive lives.

The MissionThe mission of Birthday Wishes is to provide birthday parties for homeless children. We believe that all children, regardless of their living situation, should celebrate their birthdays joyfully, surrounded by family, friends, and others who care. Our grassroots philosophy fosters the spirit of volunteerism and community service in the adults, children, and families who donate their time and resources to the Birthday Wishes mission. The OrganizationBirthday Wishes brings the magic of a birthday party to thousands of homeless children each year. Founded in 2002 as a volunteer organization serving one local shelter,Birthday Wishes has expanded its program to serve more than 165 shelters and transitional living facilities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Long Island, New York. Our goal is to provide birthday parties to all homeless children in Massachusetts and to make our model available to homeless family programs nationwide. Birthday Wishes is a registered 501c3 tax-exempt organization.
